WARA Robotics 3.0 was granted to extend during 2026-2028 period of time by WASP. In the new phase, we assembled a strong consortium. ABB Robotics, Ericsson, Algoryx and AstraZeneca will continue to play active role. Volvo (VOLVO Lastvagnar AB) and SICK (SICK IVP AB) joined as the new industrial partners to WARA Robotics. Besides the arena currently hosted by ABB Robotics, an satellite arena will be built up at the future facture lab in Volvo’s facilitates in Gothenburg. All WASP Universities are connected with WARA Robotics now. With a stronger consortium engaging both industrial and academic sides, we are in a good position to support WASP researchers for the future robotics technologies, that can be in close connection with application challenges from different industries.
In connection with the WASP Winter Conference, WARA Robotics run half day kick-off workshop in Örebro university on January 16th. All industrial partners and most of the WASP PhD projects representatives from the academic side joined. Very glad to see active engagement from all of us! During the workshop, we gathered inputs from all partners. We agreed to drive together data driven AI Robotics framework in order to support on-going WASP researchers but also jointly create new research opportunities. We also agreed to continue the robotics challenge as what had been done in ABB’s facility in the end of year 2024, to organize annual gathering for sharing and look for more collaborations, and of course to build up and open more facilities to support a wider community of WARA Robotics.
